This program shows the OOFILE graphing framework in action. It creates a small database and generates the graph from the data.
This demo includes the source of the application so you can see the small amount
of code required to create a graph. However, the source to the graphing
framework itself is not included with the demo When released it will be part of
the OOFILE product line and source will be part of the retail product. All the
OOFILE products are C++ frameworks.
Features of the framework:
- automatic wrapping of long labels
- automatic generation of a set of colours (or user-control of the set)
- resizing of the "graph" area of the pane, retaining font sizes on labels.
- automatic generation of a set of black & white patterns for printing
- cross-platform development - MFC version available Dec '97.
Note: while this demo shows only bar, stacked bar and column graphs, the full range of 3D-effect, pie and line graphs are under development. The main effort to date has been our cross-platform scaling engine, which you can see at work when you resize the graph windows.
